AP plans to develop tourism sector in and around Rajahmundry. Keeping in view of Godavari Pushkarams, AP Government decided to erect 60 ft huge standing statue in Godavari.
Though the buzz is not come out officially from Government but arrangements are in brisk pace for completing the task. Arun Prasad Vadayaar of native sculptor is preparing the statue. NTR face itself is around 5.5 ft and width of the shoulders around 15ft.
This standing Statue will be established on basement of 20X20X30 in the river. This will be inaugurated on occasion of Godavari Pushkarams. Rajahmundry MP, Muralimohan took the initiative in completing this.
MP is confident that Tourism would develop throughout the coast of Godavari. NTR statue is added another advantage for the tourism. Godavari Protection force has objected the construction of the NTR Statue. It can possible because of TDP is in ruling.
If another party comes to the power they might construct another statue of their leader in Godavari. It’s not correct to construct huge monuments in middle of the Godavari River.
