Former Prime Minister Manmoahan Singh received CBI shock when a special court summoned him as accused in the sensational coal scam case. CBI special court summoned former PM Manmohan Singh along with popular industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla, former coal secretary PC Parakh and three others in the coal scam case directing them to appear infront of it on 8th April, 2015.
CBI special court issues summons to former PM Manmohan Singh including others for the offenses of breach of trust,criminal conspiracy and under provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act. CBI issued summons in the case pertaining to the allocation of allocation of Talabira II coal block in Orissa to M/s Hindalco in 2005.
Ruling BJP reacting to the CBI court decision says its stand on Congress party and Manmoahan Singh is vindicated and says many more skeletons will fall. Congress party meanwhile says there is nothing new in the charges and its spokesperson Manish Tewari says “Congress has faced these challenges in the past, we will be vindicated in the final analysis.”
