What! Jagan gets a large-scale jolt? For what? Well, it is apparent that the trend setting director, Puri Jagannadh has proved his skills once again with his high-voltage drama, Temper with a heart-touching message in it. Even though the movie is marked as a hit, Puri is in huge financial loss.
In the earlier stages of Temper, no distributors came ahead to release the movie in the theatres, so Bandla Ganesh has done all the work himslef while Puri Jagannadh also took a share and turned into a distributor buying the rights of Temper in West Godavari.
It is known that he has bought it for Rs 2.25 crores and he recovered Rs 1.15 cores. This makes it clear that he is suffering a loss of Rs 75 lakhs. Not only this 75 lakhs, he has to pay the rentals to the theatres and Suresh Production cost and so the total may end up at Rs 1 crore which is definitely a huge loss.
The movie being in its closing stage, this amount may not be recovered claimed a few sources. Even writer Vakkantham Srinivas who bought the distribution rights is suffering a huge loss. A distributor expressing his views said, “No doubt, NTR has stardom and could pull crowds to theatres.
As the film released in non-season ahead of Cricket World Cup and non-holiday season, it affected its collections. Had the film released in January as planned before, the situation today would have been otherwise.”
