The Nizamabad MP and Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter, MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha made this sensational statement titling her father as Telangana Gandhi. Addressing a meeting, Kavitha remembered the efforts of KCR and compared KCR with Mahatma Gandhi.
Recalling the Telangana movement and the struggle of the TRS party men, Kavitha said “One lean leader (Gandhi) has brought freedom to the nation from the clitches of British and another lean leader (KCR) has brought freedom to Telangana from the leaders of Andhra.”
Kavitha also added “Only because of KCR’s relentless pressure, UPA had announced Telangana. He had worked such that either Telangana is made new state or he’d sacrifice his life.” (Telangana Techudo, KCR Chachudo) It is definitely true that KCR has worked a lot for the formation of the separate state. But comparing the Father of the Nation and KCR is too much. What do you say?
