Finally, yes, finally Akhil Akkineni gets his heroine. Though many names were thrown up right from girl next door Avika Gor to Bollywood’s young sensation Alia Bhatt, nothing really worked out. Now, it is confirmed that veteran Bollywood actress Saira Banu’s niece Sayesha Saigal will be playing the lead opposite Akhil.
Incidentally, Ajay Devgn was very keen to introduce Sayesha in his directorial venture Shivaay. But the project got shelved and Sayesha who is just completing her 12th standard would have been too young to play the lead opposite Ajay. So, the girl now got the chance to debut with Tollywood’s new dream boy Akhil.
Nagarjuna who realized the importance of Samantha and Tamanna in contributing to the success of his older son Naga Chaitanya did not compromise till he got the perfect match. Also, given the dearth of heroines in Telugu, ever since news about Sayesha came out, we are told she is being flooded with offers.
So, the makers of Akhil’s film have got her to sign the dotted line saying that she will not sign any south Indian films till Akhil’s film releases. This means that Sayesha will also be contract-bound to be with the team till she promotes all promotional work for the yet-to-be-titled film.
Only then will she be free to sign other films. Given that the team had to hunt for a very long time to find the right girl, one can totally understand their being gung-ho about certain terms and conditions.
