BJP has received a devastating blow after its Delhi chief ministerial candidate, Kiran Bedi has lost from Krishna Nagar constituency to Aam Aadmi Party’s S K Bagga.
The retired police officer has lost by a margin of 2,400 votes in an election where AAP led by Arvind Kejriwal has swept to victory. Bedi who has joined BJP only a few weeks ago after the defeat said, “I have not lost, the BJP has lost. I gave it my best.
BJP is a national party, it should introspect on why it has lost.” Krishna Nagar has been a strong hold for BJP since 1993 with senior party leader Harsh Vardhan winning the seat five consecutive times.
