Mumbai cops on Tuesday arrested underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s brother Iqbal Kaskar. Police arrested Iqbal Kaskar along with his two associates following a complaint by an estate agent on charges of extortion and assault.
Estate agent Salim Shaikh lodged complaint at Byculla police station last night alleging Kaskar and his aides threatened him demanding Rs 3 laksh after thrashing him last Friday,following which FIR was registered.
According to police the incident happened in a room located at Damarwala building, Pakmodia street,Bhenidi Bazar, South Mumbai. Anil Madvi, senior inspecter at JJ.Marg police station said Kaskar and his aides were booked on charges of 34, 323 and 385.
Kaskar was earlier deported to India in 2003 from United Arab Emirates. He was wanted on charges of murder case and his role in Sara Sahara controversial case but he was acquitted in 2007.
