Saina Nehwal, Hyderabad’s badminton beauty for quite some time has been in the news for all wrong reasons. After kicking up storm by demanding Padma award from Government of India, she along with Parupalli Kashyap withdrew from the Senior National Badminton Championship.
This made Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association (ABPA) angry and are now getting ready to sue them in court. K.Punnaiah Chowdhary, ABPA secretary questioned how could Saina and other stars skip national tourneys when even Sachin Tendulkar never missed Ranji Trophy.
He added that Badminton authority will be taking their action seriously and will soon be approaching Court. He also made fun of Saina Nehwal, saying some players fight for awards but will not take part in the national championships adding because of them organisers are suffering.
BAI is planning to request court to direct Government not to honour these players.
