Employees of technology giant Infosys received delight when they received iPhone 6 from their CEO. Vishal Sikka, CEO of Infosys surprised all by gifting Apple iPhone 6 to 3000 of its top performing employees on 9th Jan ,2015. Employees received an e-mail accompanied with the surprise gift.
Attrition rate at Infosys stood at 20.1%, highest in India on Sep 2014. However ever since Vishal Sikka’s arrival, Infosys saw sea change in its fortunes. According to sources Sikka even reached out to those employees who have resigned and asked them to stay back talking to them personally.
Management even took steps like quarterly promotions, conversion of variable pay to fixed pay, greater involvement of employees in decision making process to stem attrition. Earlier UB.Pravin Rao, Chief Operating Officer of Infosys, announced that the management made 100% variable payout for December quarter.
He also announced there had been decrease in attrition with the multiple initiatives taken by the management in the last few quarters.
