ABN Reporter Arrested Ahead of KCR Visit

Police in Warangal district arrested ABN Andhrajyothy’s district incharge Middela Ranganath at Midnight 12.30 AM. SI Nagababu along with three police scaled the wall of his house at Ellambazar and informed him of his arrest going to the first floor. When asked why he was arrested, police said they are taking him into custody as a precautionary measure before CM KCR’s visit to the district. 
They shifted him to Mattewada police station. Police didnot even allow reporter to use his phone. Earlier when KCR visited Warangal district, journalisits protested infront of him opposing ban on ABN Andhrajyothy and TV9. 
They even went to the helipad and Kaloji celebrations venue and protested strongly. During that time KCR threatened media that to survive in Telangana, media should salute them. Ban on ABN completes 200 days. According to sources apart from ABN, TV9 reporter and other journalists have been taken into preventive custody. Even SFI and ABVP leaders are not left behind. 
When ABN brought it to the notice of Hyderabad cops, it created controversy and to reduce tensions they tried to sort the matter amicably. Ranganath was released at 1 AM with some conditions. He was warned not to step outside on Monday during CM KCR’s visit. Even other reporters are issued similar warning.
