You are already aware that recently a new movie titled ‘Andhra Pori’ was launched and this marks the debut of Puri Akash, son of crazy director Puri Jagannadh, in the lead role. This is the remake of the Marathi movie ‘Timepass’ and here is some inside news about the film.
The Marathi movie worked due to certain reasons. The film was made at a budget of Rs 1.5 crores and it fetched more than Rs 30 crores at the box office. Producer Ramesh Prasad liked the film so much that he fetched the rights in just 10 days. Incidentally, the hero of the original Prathamesh Parab was picked up from the slums by director Ravi Jadhav.
The heroine Ketaki was a participant of the reality show Super Singer and her performance caught the attention of the director. Their innocence and natural act worked a lot for the love story. The other big addition was the music which complemented the emotions strongly.
So, in totality, the film worked due to the apt casting and making. We have to see how the Telugu movie works and director Raj Madiraju will execute it.
