TDP coordinator for cadre welfare Nara Lokesh has proudly stated that over 5 Million members enrolled in the Telugu Desam Party. Commemorating the success, Lokesh said that the membership comes with free-accident insurance keeping in the welfare of the party activists. Lokesh lauded the efforts of party activists and leaders for joining over 50 Lakh members into TDP family. He recalled that the total membership during 2012 TDP enrolment is around 9.50 Lakh.
Meanwhile, the membership in neighbouring states Tamil Nadu and Karnataka too were in large numbers. Thanks to the online enrolment which eased the procedure of membership drive campaign. Lokesh has spearheaded the campaign drive in the states of AP and Telangana.
Also, Lokesh announced that a special 30-member committee has been constituted to pick up the issues and woes of party activists to the supremo Chandrababu Naidu. The committee will start its functioning from the New Year. Lokesh quashed the allegations that TDP has turned out into corporate office and stated that NTR Bhavan is still very close to common man.
