A controversy broke when war of words between ruling party MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary and Opposition MLA Roja took place. Roja has levelled serious allegations against Chowdary stating that he abused her in the house and used “demeaning” words against her. Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy who was just beside Roja during the incident came to her rescue and a minor scuffle between Roja, Gorantla and Chevireddy reportedly took place.
Apparently Buchaiah Chowdary dubbed Roja as “villain” and said, “Like you (Roja) acted as villain in films, you’re acting like villain in the house.” Taking severe objection to these, Roja took potshots at Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu alleging that Naidu is behind the whole incident. “Gorantla has used unparliamentary words against me. He is acting at the behest of Chandrababu.
Notwithstanding that I’m a women, TDP is demeaning women,” Roja alleged with media. Roja has already complained the matter to YSRCP legislature party leader and leader of Opposition Jagan. Roja is now taking up the matter with Rights Committee of the Legislative Assembly where she is going to complain against Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary. All in all, a high drama was witnessed in the house.
