Telugu Film Industry’s Memu Saitham is Super Successful and a cheque of 11,51,56,116/- was handed over to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu which was collected from this program. But according to the highly placed sources in Film Chamber, this amount was cut down by 3 Crores by the wickedness and shrewdness of Daggubati Suresh Babu.
MAA TV has offered 6.5 Crore for the TV rights of the event. But Suresh Babu who was the incharge of the entire event turned down their request and gave away the TV rights to Gemini for just 3.5 Crore which is a loss of 3 Crore right away. We are said that Gemini bagged the rights of Gopala Gopala, Drishyam, Bhimavaram Bullodu (all belonging to Suresh Productions and Memu Saitham for 20 Crore Package.
MAA TV refused to buy the other films and so Gemini was given the opportunity despite quoting less for Memu Saitham. A disappointed MAA TV aired Classic TRP fetching programs like Vajrothsavam, Blockbuster movies like Dookudu and Attarintiki Daredi to eat away the TRPs of Memu Saitham and it successfully managed at some time in the day.
