Obama To Be Chief Guest On India’s Republic Day

United States President Barak Obama will be India’s chief guest for the country’s Republic Day celebrations next year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is cementing his relationship with Obama after coming to power forgetting all the acrimony when US rejected his visa continuously when he was Gujarat CM, extended invitation to US president. 
PM Modi sharing the information tweeted “This Republic Day, we hope to have a friend over…invited President Obama to be the 1st US President to grace the occasion as Chief Guest.”. With in a hour US National Security Council confirmed President Obama’s acceptance. 
Through twitter it tweeted “President Obama will meet w/ @narendramodi and Indian officials to strengthen and expand the U.S.-#India strategic partnership” and added “Visit will mark 1st time US president will have honor of attending Republic Day, which commemorates adoption of India’s constitution” PM Modi already met Obama in September at White House during his visit and recently at East Asia Summit in Myanmar, Obama lavished praises on PM Modi describing him as a man of action.
