Ever since talk is out that Thaman is roped in for Vinayak’s movie that marks the debut of Akhil Akkineni, brickbats are doing the dance to criticize this young music director. Despite the fact that this year’s biggest hit ‘Race Gurram’ has its music scored by him, Thaman stood on receiving end.
Back to flop shows of Rabhasa and Aagadu, and average scorer Power might have affected Thaman’s chances for sure. As said and discussed, music of these three consecutive releases is below average. Though he excelled at times with background score, there is huge repetition in his work. Every tune is sounding like as if we have heard it somewhere already.
All these happenings led to huge criticism when buzz started spreading about his inclusion for Akhil’s debut movie. Of course, scoring dull songs and repetitive albums will haunt music directors in some part of their career for sure. But one needs to bounce back strongly and prove their merit. It’s time for Thaman to give a big answer to all those loud mouths out there.
