High drama has been witnessed outside Telangana state Assembly on Thursday after suspended TDP MLAs who sat on agitation were arrested by police. Ten T-TDP MLAs have been suspended for one week for repeatedly interrupting the Assembly session over Nizamabad TRS MP Kavitha’s participation in intensive household survey in Hyderabad and Nizamabad.
TDP MLA Revanth Reddy has put forward the proofs for his allegations in an all party meet in front of the speaker in his chamber. But CM KCR stepped in and said that until Revanth Reddy offers apology he will not be allowed to speak in the Assembly. Speaker first suspended 8 MLAs who were agitating in the well then he suspended Revanth Reddy and Dayakar Rao who approached the Speakers’ podium.
Marshals forcibly brought the suspended MLAs out of the Assembly building. Then the MLAs tried to agitate near Gandhi statue and as police did not give permission the situation became tense. T-TDP MLAs alleged that CM KCR for the sake of his daughter Kavitha made the speaker suspend them. They made slogans that when they asked about issues related to people, TRS government has suspended them.
They alleged that government did not react to questions related to pensions, farmers but the government swiftly jumped into action when Kavitha’s name was involved. Dayakar Rao said that Police do not have the right to arrest MLAs in Assembly premises. After some time police arrested and took the MLAs to Goshamahal.
