He said KCR met Sonia Gandhi after she pressurised her UPA Govt led by PM Manmohan Singh to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh and create Telananga, as he felt that Telangana will not be a reality even after 1000 years. He said during that time KCR expressed his wish to merge his TRS party with Congress provided Sonia Gandhi and Congress party offers him the Chief Minister’s post.
He said Sonia Gandhi and even Rahul Gandhi were keen for this KCR’s proposal but Digvijay Singh opposed it tooth and nail and put spanners on this bringing pressure. He said some Congress leaders influenced Digvijay Singh to take this stand against KCR. He said the same leaders who opposed KCR as CM are now working as KCR’s coverts in Congress.
