Bhuma Nagi Reddy might be well-known as a politician and faction leader to the world. But not many know his connection to film industry and films. His brother Bhuma Sekhar Reddy initially was into film distribution and had wanted to be an actor. Although he tried very seriously, offers didn’t come his way. At that time, he had decided his younger brother Bhuma Nagi Reddy, who was good-looking then, to become an actor.
In fact, Bhuma Nagi Reddy’s father Bhuma Bali Reddy had produced a film long-back which hasn’t seen the light of the day. And the most-stunning news is that Bhuma Nagi Reddy was child artiste in the film and acted in substantial role in that film. But sadly, it hasn’t been released. Later, they’ve given up films and subsequently became strong in politics. This is not all. Bhuma Nagi Reddy is also a good movie buff and watches movies in theatres along with his family. Bhuma himself revealed this.
He had always watched movies with his late wife Shobha Nagi Reddy, and their three children. He said his favourite actors were Savitri and Suryakantham. He even said that Bhuma and Shobha Nagi Reddy’s first picture together was Balakrishna’s Mangamma Gari Manavadu which in turn revolves around Baava and Maradallu. Bhuma said at that time, both Bhuma and Shoba used to draw similarities between the film and their real life.
