BJP’s ultimatum to TDP

Behaving like a principal opposition party than a alliance partner, sources say that the Andhra Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has declared that compensation package which is being offered by the TDP government to the farmers and land owners for acquiring land to construct new capital is completely faulty. 
They have demanded that this compensation structure should be revised, failing which they have threatened to launch an agitation. After interaction with farmers, BJP leaders reportedly concluded that the compensatory package doled out by Naidu regime is woefully inadequate. And then they proposed several changes. Farmers have made it clear that they are not ready to accept less than 50 percent (nearly 1,200 sq yards) of the finally developed land. 
BJP leaders are demanding that farmers should be given the developed land as promised. But in the commercial zone of the new capital Vijayawada, BJP leaders say that they are only expressing concerns about the existing compensatory package for farmers whose land have identified for land acquisition as part of the first phase.
