TRS party which headed the first Government of newly formed Telangana presented the fist budget in the assembly today. Eetela Rajender, Finance Minister presented the budget amidst lot of expectations from the people of Telangana.
In the process he countered opposition from various parties. While TDP walked out towards Assembly after paying tributes to NTR, BJP staged a walkout carrying lanterns highlighting the power crisis in the state.
Following are the first budget of new state of Telangana:
–Rs 100 crores allotted for the welfare of Telangana martyrs families.
–Total budget outlay is Rs 1 lakh 637 crores
–Govt committed to Golden Telangana.
–Rs 2000 crores for water grid and restoration of 9000 lakes.
–Rs 17000 crores of farmers loans waived. Finance Minister claimed this is the highest in the country. Rs 4250 crores already deposited in the bank.
–Rs 10 crores for the welfare of journalists
–Rs 6500 crores for irrigation and 4 lift irrigation projects in Mahabubnagar.
-Rs 20 crores for Crop Colony and Rs 10 crores for Farm Mechanisation
–Rs 2228 crores for BC welfare. Rs 1030 crore for Minority welfare –Rs 50 crore to make Telangana, Country’s seed bank.
–Rs 250 crore for horticulture. Construction of Green house in 1000 acres. SC,STs to get 100% subsidy to promote drip irrigation. Rs 250 crores for Drip Irrigation.
–Rs 16.03 crores to promote diary development. Poultry industry treated as agriculture. Poultry workers to be treated as farmers.
–Revenue Surplus is Rs 300 plus crores
–Non Plan Expenditure is Rs 52000 crores
–Plan expenditure is Rs 48000 crores
–Fiscal deficit is Rs 17000 crores
