BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis took oath along with ten members at the Wankhede Stadium in a lavish ceremony. Prime Minster Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, BJP president Amit Shah, Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu corporate leaders, Bollywood stars attended the grand function.
Opposition leaders, NCP leaders, former CM Prithviraj Chauhan attended the occasion. BJP core committee members Eknath Khadse, Sudhir Mungantiwar, Vinod Tawde and Pankaja Munde, former Mumbai BJP president Prakash Mehta, tribal leader from neighbouring Palghar district Vishnu Sawra, and Chandrakant Patil are sworn in as cabinet ministers.
