Six time Congress MLA from Andhra Pradesh and former minister Kanna Lakshminarayana joined BJP giving shock to the party. Kanna Lakshminarayana from Guntur district joined BJP in the presence of BJP President Amit Shah in Delhi on Tuesday.
Sources say Kanna was of the opinion that Congress party has no future in Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation of the state. He followed the footsteps of his colleagues Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Daggubati Purandeswari who quit Congress and joined BJP sometime back. As Narendra Modi wave is sweeping across the country, Congress party’s future is in doubts and this has prompted Kanna to migrate to BJP.
