Union Transport Minister breaks Helmet Rule

It is common sight every where in India with cops slapping heavy fines for surveys of two wheelers and four wheelers for breaking traffic rules. Police still be seen fining people for not carrying license, other documents, not wearing helmet, not wearing seat belt etc.
However today Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari shocked all by driving scooter without wearing helmet. This created controversy with opposition parties blasting him for flouting rules blatantly.
58 year old MP from Nagpur reached RSS office to meet RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Mahal area on his white scooter without wearing a helmet. Gadkari refused to comment when scribes questioned on him breaking rules. Congress said this reflects the attitude of party, Minster and government ruling the nation.
Nagpur traffic police in its website posted , wearing helmet is compulsory and violators will be charged Rs 100 under Section 177 of the M V Act-1988. It is nit clear whether police booked Transport Minister for breaking rules or not.
