Southern states of India, more importantly Andhra Pradesh is trying its best to tackle the severe cyclone Hudhud which is set to hit the coast at Visakhapatnam by forenoon on Sunday. State officials and disaster management authority swung into action and shifted many people in the coastal district. Relief shelters have been opened and National Disaster Response FOrce deployed 19 teams each comprising of around 50 members to oversee rescue and relief missions. Indian Navy is gearing up to face any eventuality and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is heading a high level meeting to oversee relief and rescue operations. Even America’s space research organisation NASA issued strong warning that the Hudhud effect will be extremely severe. It said there will be severe rainfall with lightening and thunder. It warned that unless until proper measures are not taken, Hudhud effect will result in severe loss and damage. NASA satellite Aqua provided the above information.
