Director Guna Sekhar’s ambitious project, Rudramma Devi has completed its shooting part. The movie was Guna’s dream project and he began R&D for the project way back in 2002. He finally began the preproduction works in February 2012 and began the shooting of the film exactly an year later (February 2013).
Since then Guna and his team is working day and night on the project and managed to complete the entire shooting part on this Friday in a special fort set erected in Annapurna Studios. As the film is India’s first 3D Stereoscopic film, several Hollywood technicians are roped in for the project and the post production works of the film will go on in their supervision. Guna plans to complete all the work and release the movie in December this year. Both the 2D and 3D formats of the film will be releasing.
Guna Sekhar is lolling out all his hard earned money on his dream project, Rudramma Devi. He is leaving no stone unturned to make the movie a classic. Anushka will play the title role while Rana will play the role of Chalukya Veerabhadrudu, the prince of Nidavardhyapuram (Present Nidadavole). Guna will himself produce the movie and had roped in some top class technicians on to the project. Maestro Ilayaraja is the music composer. Award winning Art director Thota Tharani has erected sets for this historical film.
