Even as the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu is happy that he strengthened the party through his marathon pada yatra, the simmering differences in the party came to the fore on the day when he concluded his yatra.
Three members of the politburo, the party’s highest policy-making body absented themselves from the public meeting of Naidu. Though they have various reasons, it is clear that all were unhappy and chose to abstain.
Nandamuri Hari Krishna, was unhappy at the display of Naidu’s son Lokesh’s pictures and cutouts and not his and his son’s. Kadiyam Sri Hari who is facing the onslaught of another TDP leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu also chose not to attend the meeting. Dadi Veera Bhadra Rao who was denied the MLC ticket absented himself, though he is a native of Visakhapatnam district.
