The CBI court has rejected the memos he and his adviser Vijaya Sai Reddy filed.
Jagan had charged the CBI of violating the supreme court’s directions. Vijaya Sai Reddy in his memo asked the court to treat the fifth chargesheet as the final.
The court rejected both the memos. The court upheld the arguments of the CBI. The agency said it has yet to investigate on six more aspects of the Jagan assets case and the sixth chargesheet would be the final. CBI also maintained that it had not violated any of the directions of the Apex Court.
It is not yet clear if Jagan would challenge the CBI court decision in the high court. Meanwhile, Jagan’s bail petition would come up for hearing in the supreme court on Monday. It should be seen if his lawyers would mention about rejection of the memos in the supreme court then.
It may be recalled that the CBI filed its fifth chargesheet in connection with the Dalmia Cements’ involvement. The agency also named the home minister Sabita Indra Reddy as an accused in the chargesheet. Sabita submitted her resignation to the Chief Minister and stopped attending her duties.
