Son of Satyamurthy Movie Review

The much awaited Allu Arjun – Trivikram’s Combo Son of Sathyamurthy hitting screens world wide in huge number of theaters today. Samantha , Adah and Nithya in Female lead roles, Devisri composed wonderful music for the film that is already proven super hit . There are huge expectation on the film in the entire Telugu film circle. We have to wait see how the film performs in real time. Here is ‘Son of Satyamurthy Movie Review’.

Story:

S/O Satyamurthy is the story of Viraj Anand (Allu Arjun) who stands by the values of his father, Satyamurthy (Prakash Raj) in thick and thin. The well to do family is reduced to rags after Viraj father’s sudden death. Rest of the story is all about Viraj doing all that is required to clear the big debts of his father Satyamurthy and restore pride to his name with out deviating from the values.

Performances:

Post Julayi, Allu Arjun certainly evolved as an actor. He is displaying tremendous ease in acting in all his films in the recent days. However he still has to do some home work while walking through the emotional scenes. Dances are not that to Bunny’s standards. The new slang he tried in the film do not go well. And the styling just to justify the ‘Stylish Star’ tag should be controlled.

Samantha do not have much in the film to perform. There is a huge casting in the film – Prakash Raj, Upendra, Rajendra Prasad, Sneha, Nithya Menen and Adah Sharma. But not at least one of them have got a strong character which they can boast off. None of them will have an impact on the audience which we can carry out of the theater. Similarly the case with Ali, Brahmanandam, Rao Ramesh and MS Narayana.

Technical Performances:

For the first time, Trivikram Srinivas really disappointed as a director and writer as well. The script work is far from being perfect with every character poorly etched. He just started it on one line ‘Viluvale Asthi’ and struggled to justify the message with all possible forced twists. The screenplay is weak and he also failed to draw good performances from his cast. Even the dialogues could not match the standards set by Trivikram.

Devi Sri Prasad delivers an average album and average back ground score as well. Editing should have been a lot better. Cinematography is good and Production values are excellent.

Final Say:

S/O Satyamurthy lacks every thing which are usually considered as Plus points in a Trivikram film. There are very few heart touching scenes and very few good dialogues. This film can be a decent outing for any other director but not for Trivikram due to high standards he set. All in all, you can try it once!
