It is known to our readers that Vishwa Hindu Parishad had objected about the contents of Kamal Hassan’s Uttama Villain and insisting on the ban of this film. Earlier similar comments from Muslim community derailed the release of Kamal’s Vishwaroopam. The makers of Uttama Villain stepped in to the damage control.
Responding on this, director Ramesh Aravind clarified, “So far we did not receive any complaint from any religious group. I can only say no religion is defamed either in the film or in the songs. This film is a travel of a super star with his hard feelings”.
Uttama Villain recently completed its censor formalities with clean U certificate. The Censor board did not even recommend a single cut to the film. The movie is all set for a grand release on May 1st in Telugu and Tamil languages. Uttama Villain has ensemble of star cast including Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Parvathy, Orvashi, K Vishwanath and K Balachander. Kamal Haasan has handled the screen play along with dialogues and story while Ghibran scored the music.
