Ending days of deadlock over the strike of APSRTC staff, the successor state of Andhra Pradesh has come forward to meet their demands. AP government stated that it’s ready to give 43% fitment to RTC staff on par with the government employees.
Labour Minister Atchannaidu on Wednesday formally made the announcement claiming that AP government is pro-labour government and works for their progress. He added that government is keen on clearing the pending Rs 1200 Crore which is due since April 2013.
Labour Minister Atchennaidu along with Transport Minister Siddha Raghava Rao stated that the dues of April, May and June will be subsequently cleared during the festivals Dasara and Diwali whereas the remaining dues would be paid after the retirement of the employee.
Transport Minister stated that RTC is suffering from losses amounting to Rs 4000 Crore and so the AP government. Ministers sought the employees to understand the situation and asked them to cooperate for the well being of people. Minister said that RTC suffered Rs 100 Crore loss during the last 8 days where strike was in place.
