Ever since the country’s biggest sporting event, IPL, was commenced 8 years ago, several match fixing allegations and sex scandals have been maligning its reputation of being a wholesome entertainment sporting event. Now, fresh sex scandals during the 2014 season have been unearthed and the news is creating a storm, with the grand finale just one day away.
As per the fresh probe, two Chennai Super Kings (CSK) players were found having a ‘friendly time’ with a few girls all through the night in their hotel rooms during the 2014 IPL. When one of these CSK players was questioned, he replied that the lady is a close acquaintance and that they both will tie the knot very soon. Interestingly, the same lady was earlier spotted moving closely with Sreesanth and several other IPL players.
Following the dark clouds being cast on IPL 2013 due to the match fixing allegations, the court had appointed cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar to oversee the IPL 2014. Sunil had set up numerous anti-corruption teams to prevent any discrepancies and the last season was declared foolproof. However, BCCI’s anti-corruption squad had noticed the players moving closely with women and agents.
It has been a common practice during IPL that the franchisee owners throw lavish parties on most nights that include the players and many female guests. Prominent franchisees like CSK, KKR and DD have been found violating the IPL norms and when contacted, they were unavailable for a clarification.
