Gone are the days where people will laugh for every single antic of Brahmanandam. His histrionics used to be weapons for any filmmaker working with him. But now, if his character is not carefully carved out and supported by a well written dialogue, that’s it, people find him not-so-entertaining. A bunch of recent releases are examples for this.
Way back in the 90s, if Brahmi danced with a heroine or makes moves for a solo song, people used to enjoy a lot. But now, if he romances heroine with only ‘romance’ in mind, then that character should be highly convincing. For example in King, he tries to woo Trisha in a wrong way and that clicked. This discussion has popped up now after watching him going naughty with seductress Charmi in the title song of “Jyothi Lakshmi”. What are people feeling about this?
Brahmi looks completely boring as he tries to romance with a sex-worker Jyothi Lakshmi, tries to tap on her curvaceous waist. Before that, Brahmi is seen stashing notes in another sex-worker’s top. For the kind of image he is having, stature he has, and the dignity that follows, are these romances apt? Definitely not, they are boring and irritating fare too.
