Film star and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna has refuted the ongoing rumours of him becoming the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Praising his brother in law and AP chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Balakrishna also said that only Chandrababu is the right candidate to ably administer the government and the TDP party.
Speaking on the occasion of Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital’s foundation day, Balakrishna made these comments and sent out feelers about his commitment to work under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu. Balakrishna also said that he will set up the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital branch in the AP capital, Amaravati.
For the last one week, there have been numerous rumors that Nandamuri Balakrishna will become the CM of Andhra Pradesh in case the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu resigns to his post.
The rumours spread like wildfire especially after a leading national media agency published an article about it. Apparently, Balayya came out of his silence now since the party leaders advised him against clarifying his stance when the rumours were intense as it will only highten the issue.
