NESSP very happy to announce that New England Shirdi Sai Parviaar (NESSP) has Chosen a general Contractor NM Construction Corp to build the first phase of largest Sai temple in the United States and North America.
Reading, MA-based NM Construction, which has an extensive experience in building religious centers including several Hindu temples, was selected after a meticulous process of evaluating qualified bids for the project.
NM Construction was selected because its owner and president, Mr. Nalin M. Mistry, has more than three decades of experience in designing and constructing large commercial buildings.
NESSP currently operates out of a 7,200-square-foot rented facility in Chelmsford, MA. NESSP purchased 28 acres of land in Groton-MA in December 2014. The construction of the temple began on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
Tree cutting is in progress right now. NESSP has secured all the necessary building permits. The first phase will be completed by Guru Purnima in July 2016. The first phase of construction of the temple complex will include a temple building, a kitchen, a big dining hall and few community rooms. The second phase will include three residential units for priests and a 500-seat auditorium.
The sprawling complex is designed by BD Nayak Architects. To achieve the mission and vision of a permanent temple for our Beloved BABA, NESSP has been trying to raise the funds through various fund raising options including divine leaf, brick, Dollar a day, donate for Square foot. Recently introduced interest free loan, is embraced by the community and raised approximately 250k.

In addition to temple related activities, NESSP also believes helping the community that its part of it. The organization has an active charitable and philanthropy charter.
The different charitable activities NESSP has undertaken in the past are: Disaster relief, Annadaan to the homeless shelter, winter clothes drive, Red Cross blood donation, Lowell General hospital cancer center walks. NESSP Conducts free health and dental camps once in a month and free yoga and meditation sessions once in a week. NESSP also conducts chess classes and academic competitions for kids.
