Two days after facing the legal notice slapped by the senior IAS officer and Additional Secretary to Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Smita Sabharwal, for a derogatory article, popular national news magazine, Outlook, has finally tendered an apology and stated that the article was not intended to hurt or degrade anyone and further said that it will take back the controversial article.

In its article, Outlook allegedly called a female IAS officer in CM’s office as an ‘eye candy’ who impresses everyone with her ‘lovely saris’. Strongly objecting to the magazine’s audacity, Smita sent the legal notice demanding a clear written apology and even warned them of a defamation suit.

Bowing down to the pressure, Outlook finally regretted for its mistake and said that the article was not assumed at Smita Sabharwal and that it should be taken in a lighter vein. Outlook further defended itself by mentioning about its relentless efforts in fighting for women’s rights, minority and human rights.
