She’s the lady who’s responsible for the stylish makeover of Team India’s skipper MS Dhoni. From his long hair to the short Mohawk and then the military crew cut in the last IPL season, Dhoni’s style statements made a huge impression among the Indian youths and Sapna Moti Bhavnani, Dhoni’s hairstylist, had played a crucial role in Dhoni’s stunning image transformation.
While she enjoys stardom in her own self as one of the country’s leading stylists, Sapna has had a terrible past, which she had revealed recently much to the shock of many. This former Big Boss contestant said that she was gangraped by a group of Americans when she moved to Chicago after her father’s death. Sapna was barely was 24 years old at that time.
Explaining her horror, Sapna posted saying, “One Christmas Eve in Chicago, I walked out of a bar alone late at night in a short dress and red lipstick. I was 24 and had been drinking, when from a dumpster a group of guys walked upto me and put a gun to my head asking me to give them blow jobs, eventually leading to gang rape.”
However, Sapna’ spirit was not shattered with that incident and in her words, “I remember walking home, showering and pushing this incident to the back of my mind for years and never letting it break my spirit – I still wear short dresses and the brightest red on my lips.” Sapna’s post was taken up by a Facebook page called Human of Bombay, where she was showered with immense support and the post itself went viral, with nearly 79,000 likes and 8000 shares.
