It’s a big surprise for many to see Film Star & Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna who is staunch follower of Telugu culture & traditions wait till the last day of the festival to take Pushkar Bath. There is bound to be a specific reason behind this move of the Actor-turned-Politician.
On Saturday, Balakrishna took holy dip amidst the chanting of vedic mantras by a priest at the VIP Ghat in Rajahmundry as part of the ongoing Godavari Maha Pushkaralu, a festival dedicated to worshipping of rivers. Later, He performed Shraddha Karma rituals (Pinda Pradanam) for his Parents late NT Rama Rao & Basavatharakam.
Known for his kind heart, Balakrishna offered to help stampede victims soon after he came to know about the tragedy on Day 1 of Godavari Pushkaralu. He even appealed his fans to be supportive of the people at Ghats in whatever way they can.
