Sometimes rumours do end up as ideas. As these columns spoke umpteen times about the possibility of Nandamuri Balakrishna doing a sequel to his most hyped and sci-fi hit, finally it is materialising now. But it will not be his 100th film, only a 101st.
Grapevine has that acclaimed filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao has finally convinced Balayya with a new script of famous time machine flick “Aditya 369”. Carving out a story in similar lines, Singeetham has come up with some contemporary stuff which Hollywood hasn’t even touched.
Impressed by this storyline, Balayya has given nod for the project, a big budgeted one, but only as his 101st movie. He has summoned writers and directors like Boyapati and Rajamouli regarding his 100th movie, and this time-machine flick couldn’t be that landmark film, say insiders. We also heard that this sequel of science-fiction drama is likely to be named as “Aditya 999”.
Way back in 1991, Balayya portrayed interesting roles in Aditya 369 and that’s where he enthralled his fans with Sri Krishna Devarayalu avataar. There are no clues about Balayya taking up yet another historical role in he sequel of this time machine drama, but if he takes any such, then its going to be collections tsunami at box office.
Who wouldn’t like to watch him utter those poetic Telugu dialogues in a historical King character!!Meanwhile, the question remains same, what is Balayya’s 100th film? Story and director are the two things that puzzle Nandamuri fans for the now.
