Until the last minute before the film hit the screens last night, fans of Superstar Mahesh Babu were extremely tense. The reason was that Mahesh’s last two films, 1 Nenokkadine and Aagadu, were huge flops. Even though the pre-release buzz was extremely positive for Srimanthudu, Superstar’s fans had their fingers crossed until early this morning.
But things have changed within a matter of few minutes into the film’s benefit shows. As the film unraveled itself scene by scene, Mahesh’s fans shed all their fears and started to enjoy the hysteria and the result, well, a huge blockbuster. By the end of the show, fans came out celebrating the grand success.
Amidst all these celebrations, fans didn’t forget to thank one man, the film’s writer and director Koratala Siva. Breaking the second film jinx, Koratala Siva weaved a superb role for Mahesh wih loads of heroism elevation scenes. Especially, the Mahesh-Mukhesh Rishi confrontation scene, the mango grove scene and the pre-climax scenes stood out for their heroism and resulted in the amazing success of the film.
While Koratala Siva was already lauded for his heroism elevation scenes for Prabhas in Mirchi, with Srimanthudu, he cemented his position as a director who can elevate his heroes to the next level.
