Actress Neethu Krishna Vasu (28) who acted in the Malayalam movie Celebrations was arrested along with two others for producing forged documents to get US visa, after a complaint being raised by US consular officials. Neethu claimed that she was going to the US to perform at a wedding. Embassy officials inspected the wedding invitation and found out that the event was a bogus one following which she was detained. They were remanded to judicial custody.
In police interrogation, the actress stated that she was conned. “I never thought Raju would betray me with forged documents,” she cried at police. As per the police investigation, film producer Raju had approached Neethu to take her to the US where she could earn money by performing at marriage parties.
So, she gave Rs 2 lakh to Raju for processing the visa formalities.Police registered a case and are currently on hunt for producer Raju and broker Kunjumon.
