Yes, you read it right. Actor Vishnu Machu is likely to play Lord Hanuman in an upcoming mythological film based on Hanuman. What’s more? The film will be made in three languages simultaneously – English, Telugu and Tamil. Vishnu is contemplating to rope in a Hollywood director and Hollywood production house to collaborate with him for the film. It’s buzzed that the movie would be giving an international treatment to Indian mythology. Since Hanuman has pivotal role in epic Ramayana and is considered as super hero, many could relate to him on screen, especially children.
The proposed film is said to be based on complete life story of Lord Hanuman right from his birth to going into Himalayas for meditation. Hanuman is Chiranjeevi and he is eternal forever. Apparently, Vishnu is an ardent aficionado of Hanuman and this prompted him to take up the project. The Dhee star is planning to use state of the art VFX technology and the movie is likely to be a visual treat.
Reports have it that Vishnu is in deliberations with a Hollywood filmmaker and likely to bring him on board soon. For Telugu and Tamil versions, he will be roping in a consultant director. It’s heard that this is Vishnu’s dream project and he is leaving no stone unturned. He is mulling to rope in costume designers, make-up artists from Planet of Apes to give it a global touch. The film will go onto floors after he wraps up his present commitment Kannappa. If all goes well, the shoot of Hanuman will be commenced in the end of 2016.
