Despite bad form, young tiger Jr NTR’s upcoming attraction Nannaku Prematho is doing shocking pre release business. While rights for few areas were already closed, negations are on for other territories. Latest buzz is that, satellite rights of the Sukumar directorial have been sold for a fancy price of Rs 9 crores (including tax the price will be around 10.5 Cr) to Gemini TV. This is indeed career best price for NTR. However, an official confirmation is awaited on this.
Usually, family entertainers do better satellite business. Although Nannaku Prematho is touted to be a revenge drama, the film will also have other commercial elements like comedy, glamour, dances and romance. NTR who concentrated only on mass films in his career starting stages is making efforts to astonish other sections too to widen his market. While films like Adhurs and Baadshah made NTR close to families, Nannaku Prematho with Sukumar style comedy will help him to lure classes. Well, satellite business is positive sign for the film.
Nannaku Prematho shooting is currently happening in London. The film’s teaser will be out for Dasara, while theatrical release is planned for January 8th.
