Films with good content will have scope for a wider release. In current situations, it is tough for a film to score 100 days. However, star heroes films with positive talk are being screened for 100 days at least in limited theaters, only to please fans.
Ace director SS Rajamouli recently stated that record number of 50 days, 100 days,175 days are things of past. Interim, Baahubali is still running in decent number of theaters in its 9th week not just in Telugu states, but also in other territories. It is indeed not because of fans obligation, audience liking for the film hasn’t ended yet.
Despite big arrivals like Vishal’s Paayum Puli (Jayasurya in Telugu) and Ashok Selvan’s Savaale Samaali in Tamil Nadu, Baahubali is still being screened in most of the multiplexes in Chennai city. As per trade sources, Baahubali’s dream run will continue for few more days in the city.
The film has turned big headache for Tamil stars. Despite presence of Tamil films, multiplex audiences are showing interest to watch Baahubali. The Prabhas and Rana starrer film grossed over Rs 70 crores alone in Tamil Nadu which is great achievement for a Telugu film. In fact, this is one of the biggest earners in Tamil.
Meanwhile, Baahubali will soon be released in foreign languages. Let’s wait and see how Hollywood audience will receive the picture.
