In a minor relief to Telangana TDP beleaguered MLA Revanth Reddy, the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh has given permission to Reddy to go out of his constituency Kodangal and principally allowed him to go places. However, the court insisted Reddy to present himself on every Monday at the ACB office.
It may be recalled that Revanth Reddy was caught by ACB on May 31st along with his two associates Bishop Harry Sebastian and R Uday Simha while allegedly paying a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to Elvis Stephenson, a nominated MLA from the Anglo-Indian community for supporting the TDP nominee in Legislative Council elections on June 1. After 1-month-long jail term, the ACB Court has granted bail to Reddy on the condition that he shouldn’t move out of his constituency Kodangal or state capital Hyderabad.
The latest permission by the High Court has bring cheer on the faces of TDP party workers and Revanth’s followers. TDP leaders are hoping that Revanth Reddy would come out clean and vindicated in the sensational cash-for-vote scam. Right from the beginning, Revanth and TDP have been arguing that it was ploy to defame Revanth and TDP in public domain. Let’s wait and watch the big political tamasha unraveling in the Telanagana.
