Telangana CM KCR is busy touring China along with a slew of higher officials, ministers. For a week-long trip, the government of Telangana has spent over Rs two-crore public exchequer and hired a special private executive jet. KCR was accompanied by a long list of eleven important people.
The long delegation includes Industry Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, Energy Minister Jagdish Reddy, Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary, Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao, legislators K Eshwar and G Balaraju, state’s representative in Delhi Venugopala Chary, chief minister’s political secretary S Subhash Reddy, senior officials in CMO and industrialists. Apparently, KCR wanted his delegation team with him so that he wanted to show off his strength, popularity in China. Also the other talk is that KCR wanted to please few of his ministers and hence taken them for a week-long China trip. The government has hired a 50-seater Bombardier CRJ-100 aircraft for Rs. 2 crore. The executive jet is known for luxury interiors with an entertainment centre, LCD screens and customised seats.
However, TRS party leaders strongly retaliated the Opposition parties’ allegations that CM and his delegation team is relishing at taxpayer’s expense. TRS leaders stated that KCR’s visit to China and World Economic Forum (Sep 9-11) at Dalian is aimed at attracting an investment of Rs.50,000 crore to Telangana. They’re clarifying that there is nothing wrong in spending Rs 2 Crore for bringing an investment of Rs 50,000 Crore. Let’s wait and see how much KCR, his team could bring in.
