Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to be competing with his Telagana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao not in developmental programmes, but in wasting public money.
Even as there was an intense criticism against KCR for flying to China in a special chartered flight along with his team by spending huge amount of public money, Naidu too is flying to Singapore in a chartered flight along with his 11-member delegation on a three-day mission from September 20.
One of the important reasons for his visit is to invite Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the new capital of Andhra Pradesh on October 22.
According to sources, he has hired an Air India flight to go to Singapore from Chennai. Those who are accompanying the Chief Minister by the chartered flight included Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and P Narayana, Principal Secretaries PV Ramesh Babu and Satish Chandra, Secretaries Ajay Jain and Rawat Shamsher Singh and Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Chief Executive Officer N Srikant besides private secretary to the Chief Minister P Srinivasa Rao and chief security officer M Nagendra Rao.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is leaving for Singapore on Sunday morning for a three-day visit, is expected to discuss the details of Amaravati planning with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and invite him to the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the new capital on October 22.
