Elections of Kollywood’s artists association, Nadigar Sangam aka South Indian Actors Association, are getting hotter and a talking point. It’s no exaggeration to say that these President and other panel elections of a Film Body are no less than any MLA or MP’s election in a constituency.
Against the incumbent president, actor Sarath Kumar, actor Nasser is contesting as a President while Vishal for a General Secretary and Karthi is standing for Treasurer. Already this panel has won the support of Rajnikanth, Kamal and Vijay.
That itself is a big win for this panel, whose undercurrent boss is hero Vishal Reddy. This guy is now getting ready to meet Telugu biggies like Chiranjeevi, Balayya and other superstars who got registered in Nadigar Sangam.
Of the 3500 members of that association, nearly 500 artistes are from Tollywood only. Whether Telugu biggies will travel all the way to Chennai to vote in this election or not is yet to be seen, but if they extend support to Vishal or senior heroine Radhika’s husband Sarath Kumar is something to be seen.
