Shobha Oza, the party’s spokesperson, is now the head of the Mahila Congress. Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi approved the list of general secretaries on Tuesday.
After making her Bollywood debut with the 1990 Salman Khan blockbuster Baaghi: A Rebel For Love, Nagma made her Tollywood debut with Nagarjuna’s Killer. She then went on to act in numerous box-office hits like Gharana Mogudu, Premikudu, Basha etc. Nagma’s last film release was way back in 2007.
Nagma was first approached by the Congress party in 2003. However, she was a busy actress those days and refused to enter politics. In 2006, Nagma joined politics and since then, she had been voicing women’s rights in the society and played a key role in Uttar Pradesh state politics. Nagma was also under consideration for the Rajya Sabha post following the passing away of Vilasrao Deshmukh.
