Short beauty Alia Bhatt is emerging as star heroine in Bollywood. She has already bagged a role opposite Bollywood baadshah Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Johar’s next production to be directed by Gauri Shinde.
The starlet waiting for the release of Shaandaar says that she would love to do a biopic film where she can explore herself more as an actor and the person that comes to her mind is Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan.
“I did not think much about it but I think I should do it now. I would love to do biopic on Pakistani pop sensation Nazia Hassan who died very early in her age. She was a singer and I am a singer too, so it will be interesting,” said Alia.
Nazia Hassan’s music album “Disco Deewane” sold over 60 million records worldwide and the song’s catchy beat and rhythmic lyrics continue to be popular even amongst the youth of today. In her debut movie Student of the Year, Alia Bhatt performed to a remixed version of this dance track in a sizzling red hot dress.
Alia Bhatt is expertly picking performance oriented and heroine centric films, in very starting stage of her career. Significantly, biopic is always a salable subject. So, Alia prefers portraying Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan, who is equally popular in India.
